What is Hate?

   By clicking on the links and examining the beliefs of these ‘haters’ and 'hate promoters' we can conclude that hate is:
                         

1. Hate is rescuing the fetus from the abortion clinic. (National Right to Life Committee and Operation Rescue)

2. Hate is any dislike of gays. (God Hates Fags, Concerned Women for America and Culture and Family Institute)

3. Hate is any intolerance of pedophilia. (God Hates America)

4. Hate is any dislike for pornography. (American Decency Association, Harvest U.S.A. and Christians for Sexual Integrity)

5. Hate is ‘traditional family values’. (Traditional Values Coalition )

6. Hate is having "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. (American Family Association)

7. Hate is Christians getting involved in the political process. (Christian Coalition and Free Congress Foundation)

   This list could be made much longer.

   When I looked on the internet for the ‘lovers’ who complained about the ‘haters’, here is who I found leading the list of ‘lovers’.

Since hate is the opposite of love 

   Since hate is the opposite of love, we can likewise examine these and many other like minded 'love' web sites and can conclude that the following opposites of 'hate' are ‘love’.

1. Love is the abortion clinic.

2. Love is worshipful respect for gays.

3. Love is tolerance of pedophilia.

4. Love is tolerance of pornography.

5. Love is the new anything goes 'new morality' family. (Same sex, mixed race, multiple partners, etc.)

6. Love is removing "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance.

7. Love is keeping Christians out of the political process.

8. Love is a worshipful attitude toward the Jews. Any negative comments about this group is 'hate'. (Anti Defamation League, John Hagee Ministries)

But my friends, it’s all newspeak.

  Now, if I were to ask any member of any of the above listed ‘hate’ groups such as National Right to Life Committee or The Christian Coalition, “Are you a hater?”  The loud answer is “NO!”

  The asker has in mind the newspeak definition of ‘hate’ while the answerer has in mind the dictionary and Bible (oldspeak) definition of hate.

What is oldspeak?     What is newspeak?

   In the famous book by George Orwell titled 1984, Orwell introduced us to the words 'oldspeak', 'newspeak' and 'doublethink'.

NEWSPEAK

   Newspeak is the redefining of older words to give them new meaning. Newspeak also incorporated the elimination of many old words. This deceptive redefinition of words is mentioned in the Humanist Manifesto.

   Gay which once meant happy is now newspeak for homosexual. And the oldspeak words homosexual, sodomite, pervert and so forth are being eliminated from our vocabulary.

Word Combinations that
Falsely Define the Opposing Viewpoint

   The word combinations 'gay rights', 'children's rights', 'animal rights', 'women's rights', all are cleaver newspeak ways to say those who hold an opposing view are wrong. Their side is 'right' and therefore, opposing views are, well, wrong.

   Likewise those opposed to 'women's liberation' must automatically be for the enslavement of women.

   Choosing the name 'Pro-Life' was like taking a page out of the liberal instruction book. The implied meaning, if you are against 'Pro-Life' then you must be for death. (Pro-death) The Liberal counter attack is Pro-Choice implying that those with opposing views are imposing their religion on others.

   The name, People For the American Way implies that any opposing view is un-American. Disagree with them and they might shout in your face, "Love it or leave it" or "What are you, some kind of a Communist?"

   DOUBLETHINK is holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

  That is often why the TV always seems to present two sides of every issue. One day the TV will tell you that eating eggs is good for your health. The next you will be told eggs are bad.

  You are told that the Jews are God's special chosen people while also being told that God loves everyone and all races equally. People believe both at the same time. In George Orwell's book, Animal Farm this particular type of double think was worded, "All people are equal (but some are more equal than others)".

   In the book Animal Farm the animals revolted against the farmer and dove the farmer off his land. The animals formed a government and made laws. One law was, "All animals are equal."

   But the pigs took charge of the government and demanded special treatment for themselves. To make this O.K. the law was changed to, "All animals are equal but some are more equal to others." Jews are allowed dual citizenship. They, being 'more equal' can be both Israeli and American. The rest of us can only be a citizen of one country.

DOUBLESPEAK

   DOUBLESPEAK is a combination of newspeak and doublethink.

'Love' is hate and 'hate' is love.

   Doublespeak comes in many forms, from the popular buzzwords that everyone uses but no one really understands - "glocalization," "competitive dynamics," "re-equitizing" and "empowerment" - to language that tries to hide meaning: "re-engineering," "synergy," "adjustment," "restructure" and "force management program."

   Popular buzzwords that liberals use but no one really understands include the redefined words 'love' and 'hate'.

   In calling others 'haters' they claim the oldspeak dictionary and Bible definitions of 'love' to themselves. At the same time they apply the newspeak definition of 'hate' to others. How can you call one opposed to hate a hater?

   The person accused of being a 'hater' doesn't consider himself as being full of hate. He tries to deny it. But having been already labeled makes it hopeless.

   Those who control the vocabulary use words against Christians. Two of their emotion laden word weapons are ‘love’ and ‘hate’. Love and hate are now redefined and in the Newspeak dictionary.

Finally, is it ever O.K. for a Christian to hate?

   As President Clinton said when being questioned about Ms. Lewinsky, "That all depends on what the definition of 'is' is."
