Mayday, an international call for help
So here on the record label is a claim that American Pie is God's song
(Yahweh) and it is about a time of trouble. (Mayday)
American Pie was a very popular song in the early seventies. There are
several interpretations of this song and you can find these other opinions
on the internet. Roy Taylor talked to Mr. McLean to ask him confirm or deny
Taylor's conclusions. But McLean would not comment one way or another.
Taylor believes that American Pie is based on the Bible and it's about
America.
There are two songs in the Bible. These are The Song of Moses and The Song of The Lamb. And now American Pie which according to the record label is The Song of Yahweh.
