Spacecraft in the Old Testament
Let's look at several Bible Verses and see if there is any reason to believe that space ships, space travel and modern technology is something known to God for a long long time.

2 Kings 2:11: And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, {there appeared} a chariot (7393) of fire, and horses (5483) of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." In 2 Kings 2:11 there appeared:

| And Elijah went up into heaven (the sky) by a whirlwind. |
5483 is the word in Strong's Concordance translated horse. The definition reads, horse - to skip (for joy): a horse (as leaping); also as a swallow (from its rapid flight):--crane, horse.
7393 is equally interesting. Chariot - A vehicle; by implication, a team; by extension, cavalry; by analogy a rider, i.e., the upper millstone:--chariot, (upper) millstone.
A mill stone.
People often claim to have seen objects in the air that:

Today things that glow brightly, fly swiftly through the air, and have the shape of millstones are called, not chariots of fire, but 'flying saucers'. Concerning 'horses of fire'. A horse is sometimes called a 'mount'. A mount meaning transportation. The words uses in 2 Kings 2:11 had transportation imbedded in their definitions.
Could 'mount' Sinai be in reference to transportation rather than to mountain?

Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; (4) Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and {how} I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. (5) Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth {is} mine: (6) And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These {are} the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. (7) And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. (8) And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord. |
This space traveler claims the Earth as his very own property. |
| (9) And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, ( that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord. | A very large and impressive Spaceship. A 'thick cloud' might mean a solid cloud. |
| (10) And the Lord said unto Moses,
Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash
their clothes, (11) And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down (land) in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. |
A shuttle craft from a larger ship, in orbit that lands in the landing bay of the Spaceship called Mt. Sinai. Or is it just a shuttle craft that will land? |
| (12) And thou shalt set bounds unto the people
round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, {that ye} go {not} up into the
mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount
(Spaceship) shall be surely put to
death: (13) There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether {it be} beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. |
Set up a perimeter with
guards to keep the curious back a safe distance. No unauthorized
people to get up into the ship or even touch it. If this 'mount' is just a dirt and stone mountain, then how do you tell people not to touch a mountain? Where does a mountain start and stop? |
| (14) And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, | Moses exited the Spaceship Sinai and returned to the people. |
'Mt Sinai' see from a distance?
Is all this 'Bible'
or is it just wild eyed speculation?
A huge Spacecraft, in a desert and from a distance could look like a mountain.
Well that might make a science fiction movie, but is it 'Bible' or wild eyed speculation? Well, here is more to consider; Keep in mind that Moses would have difficulty describing something this fantastic.

A door to the Spaceship had opened. At the base of a stairway or elevator there was floor described as a paved work of a sapphire stone. God stood on this jewel like surface. Over his head was 'a body of heaven seen clearly'. They could look up unto and see clearly the inside of this Spaceship. (The 'body of heaven' seen clearly.) |
| (12) And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will
give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written;
that thou mayest teach them. (13) And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. (14) And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur {are} with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them. |
God invited Moses to come up into his Spaceship. |
| (15) And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. (16) And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. |

| (17) And the sight of the glory of the Lord {was}
like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of
Israel. (18) And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into (not upon) the mount: and Moses was in (not on) the mount forty days and forty nights. |
The Glory of The Lord was a
description of this magnificent Spacecraft. A 'bright immensity'.
Moses went into the ship and was in the ship forty days and nights. |
Exodus 32:19: And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.
The question is, "How do you 'break them beneath a mountain'? You might break something on a mountain. How about this as an explanation, "And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, (He returned to the Spaceship. The door was shut.) and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. (he threw them under the Spaceship breaking them beneath 'the mount'.)
Exodus 33:9: And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood {at} the door of the tabernacle, and {the Lord} talked with Moses.
You have seen rockets take off. They look like cloudy pillars ascending don't they? So, it this a possible explanation. "And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, (A Shuttle Craft) and stood {at} the door of the tabernacle, and {the Lord} talked with Moses."
Besides Mt. Sinai is not Mt. Horeb. It is not two names for the same mountain.
Psalms 68:17: (17) The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
Does this make sense? "The Spaceships of God are twenty thousands. They carry thousands of angels. God is Admiral of the fleet. These ships are just like the huge Spaceship that visited Sinai."
Concerning the time of Christ's return Isaiah said this in Isaiah 66:15-16, "For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many." Isn't that a description of scene right out of a science fiction movie?
Daniel 7:13: "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, {one} like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, (A fleet of Spaceships) and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him." (Recall in the Star Wars movie, Princess Lea said of the Galactic Emperor, "He's so old he's ancient.")
Matthew 17:5: "While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: (A Space Craft) and behold a voice out of the cloud (Spacecraft with a public address system), which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."
Matthew 24:30: "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven (A fleet of powerful Spacecraft) with power and great glory."
Matthew 26:64: "Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
Luke 21:27: "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud (Spaceship) with power and great glory."
Acts 1:9: "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; (by a shuttle craft) and a cloud (Mother ship) received him out of their sight."
Acts 1:11: "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner (in a cloud - spaceship?) as ye have seen Him go into heaven."
1 Thessalonians 4:17: "Then we which are alive {and} remain shall be caught up together (Beamed aboard like on Star Trek?) with them in the clouds, (in the space ships) to meet the Lord in the air: (A meeting room inside a mother ship for an orientation meeting) and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Revelation 1:7: "Behold, he cometh with clouds; (A fleet of Starships) and every eye shall see him, and they {also} which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."
Revelation 11:12: "And they heard a great voice (Public address system) from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; (Shuttle craft) and their enemies beheld them."
And the news media and news papers reported that it was just an invader from space that we need to fight against, certainly not Jesus return. After all,
"What need does God have for a starship?"
